Our Plantations

Tropical conditions create the perfect environment for our plantations.

Our fully owned and managed plantations are based in Costa Rica, located between nine and ten degrees north of the equator, consequently, the climate is tropical all year round and perfect for growing trees.

We carefully chose Costa Rica for our plantations due to a number of reasons:

Located close to shipping ports
A stable democratic government with no army
Government regulation of plantations with special forestry laws set up to protect offshore investors
Close bilateral trade agreements with the USA
Modern infrastructure
Perfect climate for growing a wide variety of trees
Government certified foresters specialising in environmental conservation
Availability of suitable land with the right soil conditions
Member of CAFTA - Central American Free Trade Agreement
