What Do Ethical Forestry Do?
Ethical Forestry is a UK company specialising in timber investments for private and corporate investors.

Our Melina tree investments offer unrivalled returns and environmental benefits for future generations.
Ethical Forestry offers forestry (and ultimately timber) investments, for private and corporate investors at all levels.
Ethical Forestry tailors investments to suit an individual’s budget, making them flexible. Many investors are taking advantage of this opportunity for saving plans, family trust funds and personal pensions. The investments are HMRC compliant and SIPP approved, so your IFA can simply transfer an existing SIPP pension, or start a new one, making investing a simple process
We pride ourselves on the full service we offer. From the careful selection of premium grade seeds to the planting, growing and harvesting of them, we manage the whole process for investors, making us unique.
The sustainable trees farms we create are planted on a ‘for profit basis’. There is no trade-off between investing sustainably and making a decent rate of return. Our investors get high returns, stability, steady growth and an environmentally sound product.
The tree species we plant have been fastidiously selected because of their fast growing nature and highly sought-after wood. To ensure our investors' trees grow safely, we continually monitor them throughout their growth cycle. Our professional foresters live on our plantations ensuring they are monitored twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Investors get individual GPS coordinates for every tree they purchase and an agricultural lien against the plantation until the final tree is harvested, allowing investors personal security over their individual trees.
Our trees grow rapidly because of the tropical conditions in which they are planted. An eight-month old tree is, on average, over two metres tall. By eighteen months the average height is over six metres illustrating the remarkable growth our trees achieve.

In the unlikely event that a tree perishes during the first three years, we reallocate one of a similar age from our tree bank at no extra cost to the investor.
During the twelve-year growth cycle, investors’ trees require a series of thinning harvests to encourage the stronger ones to flourish - a natural selection process. These regular thinning harvests and the final harvest produces valuable timber, which is sold on your behalf and the proceeds sent to you. To get the most valuable timber from investors’ harvested trees, we process them through our bespoke timber mill, specifically created to process sustainable timber.
After the investment term ends, the land on which your trees are planted is placed within our Forestry Easement Trust, specifically created to help protect the land and the diverse wildlife that can be so easily lost.
