Our Plantations.

Our plantations are based in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica, approximately 1 hour from La Fortuna.

We chose Costa Rica for our plantations due to a number of reasons:

Costa Rica was the first country in the world to constitutionally abolish its army. Among Latin American countries, Costa Rica ranks 4th in terms of the 2007 Human Development Index. The country is ranked 5th in the world, and 1st among the Americas, in terms of the 2008 Environmental Performance Index.In 2007 the government of Costa Rica stated that they want Costa Rica to be the first country to become carbon neutral by 2021.

We are buying new land every year with the long term aim being the reforestation of Costa Rica.
